About Jen & her approach

You don’t need to have all the words yet.

I’m Jen. I offer a calm, non-judgmental space where you can pause, be curious about yourself and talk about what matters to you.

Life can feel difficult for many reasons. Something may be happening now, an earlier experience may still be affecting you, or you may simply know that things cannot carry on as they are. You do not need a neat explanation before getting in touch.

My way of working is warm, collaborative and responsive to you. I will listen carefully, help you notice patterns and support you to develop a deeper understanding of your emotions, relationships and choices. I will not tell you what to do or hurry you towards an answer.

How I can help

Whatever has brought you here, the conversation can begin there.

People come to counselling for many different reasons. These are examples, not a checklist. The introductory call helps you and Jen decide whether her experience and way of working fit what you need.

01

When everything feels too much

Anxiety, stress or a sense of being overwhelmed can make it hard to know where to begin. Counselling offers space to slow things down and make sense of what is happening.

02

When relationships feel difficult

Patterns with family, partners or colleagues can leave you feeling stuck or disconnected. Together, we can explore what you need and how you want to relate to others.

03

When the past keeps showing up

Earlier experiences, loss or change can continue to shape the present. You can approach what feels difficult gradually, without pressure to share more than feels manageable.

Not sure where you fit?

You can start with what feels hardest today.

Frequently asked questions

A few things you may be wondering.

You can ask about anything that is not covered here during the introductory call.

What happens in the first session?

There is no test and no expectation that you tell your whole story at once. Jen can explain how counselling works, ask what has brought you along and make room for any questions. You can take things at a pace that feels manageable.

How often will we meet?

Counselling sessions are usually arranged at a regular time. Frequency and the likely length of the work will be discussed with you, based on what you need and what Jen can currently offer.

Is counselling confidential?

What you share is treated with care and confidentiality. Jen will explain the limited ethical, legal and safeguarding circumstances in which information may need to be shared before you begin.

Can we meet online?

Yes. Online sessions are available via Zoom. You will need a private space, a stable connection and a device where you can speak comfortably without being overheard.

What if I need to cancel?

The full cancellation and rescheduling terms will be shared before you agree to begin. You are welcome to ask about them during the introductory call.

How does counselling end?

Ending can be discussed as part of the work. You and Jen can review where you are, talk about what has changed and agree what a thoughtful ending might look like.
