Information used for website enquiries
If you contact Jen, you may choose to provide your name, email address, phone number, contact preference and a short message. This is used to respond, arrange an introductory conversation and consider whether Coate Counselling is an appropriate service for you.
Please do not include detailed clinical or emergency information in an initial website enquiry. You decide what to share, and the form asks only for enough information to make contact.
How the draft enquiry form works
The current static draft does not save your form entry to a website database. It prepares a message in your own email application for you to review and send. If a secure hosted form service is connected before launch, its name, processing location and retention arrangements will be added here first.
Technical information
The website itself uses no analytics, tracking pixels, third-party embeds, advertising tools, remotely hosted fonts or browser storage. The final hosting provider may keep limited security and access logs, such as IP address, browser information and request time. The provider and retention period must be confirmed after hosting is selected.
Read the separate cookie and storage notice for more detail.
Sharing and retention
Coate Counselling will not sell your personal information. Information may be handled by essential service providers, such as email and hosting companies, or disclosed where the law, professional duties or safeguarding responsibilities require it. The final processor list and retention schedule will be included before publication.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your information, to object to certain uses, and to receive some information in a portable format. You can also ask how a decision about your information was made. Some rights have legal limits.
Contact Jen using the details above if you want to ask a question or exercise a right. You may be asked for information needed to confirm your identity.
How to make a data protection complaint
If you are concerned about how Coate Counselling uses your personal information, you have the right to complain directly to the practice. Email hello@coatecounselling.co.uk or write to the address above. You do not need to use particular wording, although “Data protection complaint” in the subject line may help route your message quickly.
Coate Counselling will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days of receiving it, look into it without undue delay, make appropriate enquiries, keep you informed of progress and tell you the outcome without undue delay.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Coate Counselling would welcome the chance to resolve your concern first, but you may complain to the ICO at any point. Visit the ICO complaints service or call 0303 123 1113.
